A loft conversion and side extension to a large 3 bedroom semi-detached house in Portsmouth. An additional 2 bedrooms and 2 bathroom suites were achieved with this project resulting in a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom property.

This loft conversion includes 1 large bedroom with en-suite shower room. It also has a rear elevation flat roof dormer and a front elevation flat roof dormer with a walk out glass balcony with marine grade stainless steel handrail, resulting in spectacular views across Portsmouth and the Solent. The side elevation to the loft conversion has a gable wall construction. A complete new roof with our 15 year leak free guarantee as standard. 

The side extension was built above the garage includes 1 bedroom with en-suite shower room. A roof space above the side bedroom allowed for a large insulated storage space that housed the new combination boiler, electric points. A possibility in the future for another bedroom?

This loft conversion and extension took 14 weeks to complete. The painting took a further 3 weeks to complete. 

Planning permission was required due to the front dormer and walk out balcony to the loft conversion and the extension above the garage. Approval was granted and the Building Regulations application was accepted. We provide a full service including all plans/drawings and structural calculations. Submitting the plans to the local authority for approval before work commences. Visits from the building inspector throughout the loft conversion is arranged by us. Regular meetings between us and the client at certain stages during the conversion was essential for decision making and to discuss interior design.

Pre-Start Meeting (1 week before prior to start)

Your safety & that of all our work force is the most important aspect of the project. During the pre-start meeting we will discuss Health & Safety at Work, our Site Rules including no go zones, hard hat areas, storage of materials, dust control etc.
