All wall and floor tiles in the brochure are sourced from around Europe, therefore are graded slightly different, depending on the factory. Look at the number next to the tile, then refer to guide box below to decide whether it is suitable for your application. Please be aware that the tiles resistance is not only influenced by these grades but also by where it is laid. For example an area that is subjected to a lot of gravel or grit will deteriorate the tile quicker over time than a clean environment.
Grade Definition
Areas of very light traffic without footwear – bathrooms only. Areas of light to medium traffic with soft footwear.
Areas of medium traffic with normal footwear, suitable for most rooms in the house.
Areas of heavy traffic with normal footwear – all rooms in the house also offices, restaurants and hotels.
Areas of very heavy traffic normally a through-bodied porcelain tile suitable for commercial areas like hospitals, garages and shopping malls.
