Loft Conversion Dormers
Below we have some great aerial photos of some of our recent loft conversion dormers. Our Architectural technologist designed these projects with perfect architecture in mind. Dormer architecture blends in with the existing roof, house and surrounding area. Having a dormer as part of the design maximises the loft space, creating amazing living spaces. There are a different types of dormers such as flat roof or pitched roof dormers and this can be further explored on our Dormers page.
The cost of a dormer can range from £4,000 inc VAT for a small dormer to £18,000 inc VAT for a large dormer. This is only an estimate, we will need to carry out a site survey to established a proper quotation. The first stage of any loft conversion is to closely inspect your loft and take accurate dimensions. The dimension to the apex of the roof where the ridge board is located (highest part of the loft) is most important as this will determine the whether a loft conversion is feasible or not. A roof that is too low will not be suitable to convert to a suitable living space, so it is important we measure the exact dimensions during the initial feasibility survey. As a rule of thumb the higher your loft the better conversion achieved. The minimum height of your roof required is about 2.4 metres, this can be further explored on out Types of Roof page.
We offer a full design and build service for your loft conversion. We can supply Architectural drawings with every project. However, if you already have Architect plans we can work with them. Send your Architect plans by e-mail in PDF format.
